Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their client's manufacturing site in Newark, CA. This full-time position is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of facilities and equipment, working closely with the General Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Install, align, disassemble, move, and maintain machinery using various lifting devices, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls.
• Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
• Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts during overhaul, maintenance, or setup of machinery.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine scheduled maintenance work on machinery.
• Implement a Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) system, including ISO documentation and a detailed PM schedule for each machine.
• Use predictive maintenance techniques and implement a computerized maintenance management system to trigger maintenance planning, execution, and reporting.
• Identify and implement projects to improve machine and operator performance.
• Provide basic operations and maintenance training to production operators.
• Respond immediately to requests from operators and production supervisors.

Qualifications

• 2-year vocational training or associate's degree in a related field of study.
• Previous training on applicable machinery (CNC) and in reading and understanding blueprints/manuals for machinery.
• Journeyman or apprentice electrician.
• Previous experience designing and improving preventive maintenance plans.
• Experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing applicable machinery.

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, first shift. On-call and weekends as needed.

Additional Details

Salary: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour

Expected Hours: 40 per week
